Serica Energy delays move to LSE

Serica Energy has revealed it will not complete its move from the AIM market to the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange (LSE) in 2025.

The energy firm had initially planned to complete the move in the final quarter of 2025, adding it had been progressing with the work on its admission to the LSE.

However, this will now not be possible due to the group's recently announced M&A activity and the impact these transactions will have on the required regulatory disclosure.

Serica said that it remains committed to moving to the Main Market at the earliest viable opportunity, and expects the move to complete following the publication of its audited FY25 accounts.

The update comes after the firm agreed to acquire BP’s 32% stake in the Culzean field offshore site in the North Sea for $232m earlier this month.

Following the announcement, shares in Serica increased by almost 3%.
